Affordable Movers started as a two-person operation hauling student flats around central Auckland. We still run the business the same way: quote honestly, show up on time, and wrap everything.
Why we exist
Most complaints about movers come down to two things: a price that changed, and a crew that didn't turn up when promised. We built the whole business around removing those two failures. Written scopes, fixed long-distance pricing, and enough crew on payroll that we never subcontract a job we have already sold.
That is also why we do not run a call centre. Every quote, change and confirmation is in writing, so you and we are looking at the same document on move day.
How we operate
Full-time crews, not day labour
Every mover is on our payroll, reference checked and trained in our warehouse before they touch a customer's furniture. The same faces come back year after year.
The quote is the invoice
We price from a real inventory, not a guess. If an hourly job runs shorter than estimated, you pay less. If we underestimated, that's on us.
Damage handled, not argued
Fewer than 1% of our moves report a claim. When something does go wrong, we schedule a repair or reimbursement within five working days.

Opened the Wiri warehouse and added vaulted storage.
2017
Added interisland and South Island long-distance routes.
2021
Commercial division launched for after-hours office relocations.
2026
Eleven thousand four hundred moves completed and 38 crew on payroll.
