Fixed priced Quote is based on location, no. of stories in the building, heavy items and pick-up to a drop-off location, or stairs etc.

Stairs are an extra burden for the team to handle, and it requires additional strength and techniques. It can take a toll on the movers and reduces their ability to work a full day. A standard $3 per stair step extra charge applies on top of the total moving charges. It is a one-off fee only and will not cost you every time the team goes up and down the stairs.

Affordable Movers will take utmost care of all your furniture and contents, however in the unlikely event of unintended damage Affordable Movers will not be held liable for any loss. We recommend all customers to arrange insurance prior to the move.

Yes, weekend work is charged $20/hr extra to our normal price per hour as listed on the Pricing Page.

No, we are not authorised to move Combustible items, explosives and hazardous chemicals. Barbecues must be disconnected from gas bottles and gas bottles must be moved separately in a car. A leaking gas bottle is like a bomb and care must be taken to check all leaks before moving.
